The brief

As a keen gardener with limited room left in her Gabriel Ash greenhouse, the client wanted Paradisi Garden Rooms to build her the ultimate potting room that would increase her garden workspace as well as a provide a shady area to sit enjoy the fruits of her garden.

As a lover of reclamation and salvage, our client wanted the room to be constructed utilising a stunning set of original Crittall doors and window she had recently purchased to add authenticity to a ‘vintage look” as well as work sympathetically with the look and feel of a mature garden.

The solution

At 6m square this is still a sizeable room constructed using the energy efficient SIP panels and clad externally in stunning Western Red Cedar battens. The original windows were re-glazed in toughened glass and re-painted in Farrow & Ball colours. Paradisi went that extra mile to source reclaimed hardwood Balau flooring to complete the vintage look but that still delivers a practical hard wearing flooring necessary for a potting shed. Internal walls were faced in plywood and painted in Fired Earth ‘Oak Apple’.
