The brief

Our client is a lover of snooker and always wanted a championship-size snooker table at home. The garden room needed the required cueing room all around and of course it needed a bar for those waiting their turn at the table, and also friends, to sit and enjoy a drink or two. It also needed to have a small integrated shed for gardening tools etc.

The solution

At over 50 m square this garden room was designed specifically to house a championship snooker table. Constructed using SIPS panels and clad in cedar battens, the key structural feature is the re-enforced floor capable of taking the weight of the snooker table. In addition, a sumptuous bar area featuring mosaic slate tiling compliments what is the ultimate hobby room.
